Creative Strategist — WDM Agency

Purpose

The Creative Strategist at WDM Agency is responsible for creating and optimizing persuasive, high-converting content across Meta Ads, Google Ads, email campaigns, and landing pages — content that doesn’t just look good but drives results.
You are a conversion-minded storyteller, pairing data with insight to consistently generate winning creative across multiple platforms. You know how to extract emotional triggers, unique mechanisms, and compelling angles from a brief (or a product) — and you work seamlessly with media buyers and designers to bring those ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Strategy & Ideation

Develop high-impact ad angles and scripts for Meta and Google Ads based on performance data

Craft conversion-focused email flows, subject lines, and body copy tailored to client avatars

Write persuasive landing page copy aligned with CRO principles and campaign objectives

Lead creative planning sessions, brainstorms, and retro meetings to extract insights and iterate

Performance Analysis

Review performance metrics across paid ads, emails, and landing pages to identify what’s working — and what’s not

Turn data into actionable content insights and iterate rapidly to improve results

Collaborate with media buyers to align messaging with best-performing audiences and offers

Content Production & Workflow Management

Deliver copy on time, following internal processes and timelines

Plan, manage, and update creative tasks in our project management system

Ensure consistency in tone, structure, and formatting across all deliverables

Perform quality checks on grammar, accuracy, and brand alignment

Client Communication & Collaboration

Communicate effectively and professionally with clients on creative strategy and deliverables

Respond promptly to feedback and ensure revisions are actioned quickly

Join internal standups, creative syncs, and monthly client calls

Be available via Slack, email, and video calls during working hours (AEST timezone)

Success Metrics (KPIs)

Number of winning ads generated monthly (Meta & Google)

Conversion rate improvements from email flows and landing pages

Click-through rate (CTR) improvement on email subject lines

Improved CTR & CVR on Google Ads creatives

Planned vs actual task completion across sprints

Client approval rate for content on first round

Zero tolerance for avoidable errors (spelling, grammar, formatting)

Experience Requirements

3+ years in performance creative or direct-response copywriting roles (agency or eCom preferred)

Proven results across Meta Ads, Google Ads, email, and landing pages

Experience using performance data to inform creative decisions

Comfortable writing in multiple brand voices

Solid grasp of consumer psychology and funnel copy principles (e.g., AIDA, PAS, Hormozi frameworks)

Logistics

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM AEST

Location: Remote, AEST hours required
